Algorand Foundation expands Web3 developer base in India, partners with T-Hub

AlgoBharat is a blockchain initiative by the Algorand Foundation, which aims to build real-world utility for blockchain in India and expand Web3 developer activity.
Anil Kakani, VP & Country Head of Algorand Foundation in India, and Nikhil Varma, the Tech Lead for AlgoBharat, will lead the team.
It will build strategic partnerships with established organizations like non-profit organizations, government agencies, and academic institutions to broaden the Web3 developer base, mentor and invest in the Web3 startup ecosystem, and mentor and invest in the Web3 startup ecosystem.
According to Kakani, the motto of AlgoBharat is "In Bharat for Bharat." The company aims to support the creation of employment opportunities and solutions that serve India's population.
Kakani is confident that blockchain technology will help drive India's transition from being a service provider to leading the way in developing solutions that create a more inclusive economy.
Algorand has also partnered with T-Hub, India's premier innovation hub with over 600 corporate partners, including Intel, AWS, Boeing, Meta, and Microsoft. Algorand is the first layer-1 blockchain protocol to partner with T-Hub.
